In a battle against complacency and in an effort to keep everyone on their toes, the third and fourth rounds had the group mix things up in terms of process. More rules governing contributions and development of pieces.

Tracks 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 were produced in matrix style with a newly imposed restriction of 1 minute in length for each track. Each of these were submitted to be part of a 60x60 event in summer 2008, and "s.0.1" was selected for inclusion.

Tracks 1, 2, 3, 6 and 10 were produced from a collection of source material -- which could be individual drum hits or drum loops, dialogue sample or an instrument or part, or whatever -- created by each Fünfer Everyone then created their own track using only the source material provided by the others while being restricted from using their own samples.

Essentially two separate rounds of five pieces, each round intended for different purpose, "Chinese Dinner" took a bit longer to develop and wasn't assembled into this final collected form until after the release of "Midnight at the Palazzo" (the next round).
